Executive Summary:

We have developed an android app that holds detailed information about every single faculty member of the University Of Liberal Arts Bangladesh. This app will not only going to deliver information about the faculties but also about the campus premises including the Library, Lab, Clubs, Students Affairs & Sports facilities that ULAB provides to the students. It is going to be easy to navigate for anyone to use with quite a number of nice features and with a nice colorful design.

This App is going to provide the information about every single Faculty member there is in ULAB. User will find detailed & accurate information about any individual faculty he/she wants to. By easy to navigate button user can easily pick his/her choice. This App will deliver which department the faculty is from, which course he/she is taking current semester or is going to take next one, where & when the faculty will be available for visiting/ advising (includes Room number of faculty floors of both campus & consulting hours given by the faculty member), contact details (includes E-mail address & Phone number if the faculty member provides so). For better performance they can go through the search option & find their desired faculty information.

We will also provide rich & detailed information about the ULAB campus premises. User can easily find about the important & mostly needed locations in the campus premise like Register room, Admission room, Accounts room, Faculty floor, Library, Computer, Network, Media & Telecommunication Labs, Career Service Office, Students affairs office etc. They can also navigate through the floor plan provided in the app to find out where the Canteens, Auditorium, Seminar room, screening room, Study room & Common space is located.

Users can also find about services & facilities provided by ULAB. The app includes detailed information about Career Service Office, Students affairs office, ULAB Campbuzz Radio, ULAB TV, ULAB Playground etc. The app also includes the club activities information. User can find any useful information about their desired club he/she wants to join.

There are including some features that is going to help the user to get enhanced, flexible and easy to use experience.

Background:

There aren’t a number of apps for android platforms for any individual University (like ULAB) information included. For any new student who knows a little about his/her own campus facilities as well as about the department & faculty that he/she has admitted to. It will not only be helpful for the newbies but also for the other senior students whom face many difficulties during Pre-Registration & Add/Drop sessions. This app will help them to take their desired course in between their choice of faculty as well as time. This app will also provide rich information about the Club, Student Affairs & Sports facilities of ULAB. So we have designed and implemented an app with scheduling facility with a nice look and feel. An informative app that has better features as well.

Conclusion:

We have developed this app that holds detailed information about every single faculty member of the University Of Liberal Arts Bangladesh. This app will not only going to deliver information about the faculties but also about the campus premises including the Library, Lab, Clubs, Students Affairs & Sports facilities that ULAB provides to the students. This app is unique from any other informative app developed in Android platform because of its individuality. It has only the information about a certain University (ULAB) & by far the only one. Which proves that it will provide beneficiaries to every student of ULAB. So right now this app will provide services for only ULAB students.

So, we in the near future we are hoping to develop this app with more new features & new facilities which can be used by anyone who wants to know about any individual university information. We would like to include more university as well as their information to build rich informative app which can provide any important & needed information of any individual university premise & the services they provide.
